AIESEC Volunteer with Speak Up Borneo
Greetings from AIESEC in Curtin University,
Come together and contribute to the B40 students to improvise their English proficiency and STEM knowledge which are the important factors of employability in the 21st century. In order to increase the number of young Malaysians with the necessary skills for employment in today’s world, the Malaysian education system needs to resolve the following issues:
- Students’ low English proficiency level
- Students’ subpar performance in applying science and mathematics knowledge.
- The gap in education quality within Malaysia
Project duration, area, and learning outcomes
Our “Speak Up” project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals #4 Quality Education which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. We aim to empower the students of East Malaysia in gaining technical skills related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) which are useful for their future employment and entrepreneurship.
