Beach Cleanup

Dear students,

The time has come again for the annual John Curtin Weekend! The John Curtin Weekend (JCW) is an annual volunteering event organised by Curtin Volunteers! under the Department of University Life. Similar events are run concurrently at all the Curtin campuses each year.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, JCW 2020 will be held in a smaller scale and only for students and staff who are currently in Miri. Participation is open to 50 students and staff only.

Details are as follows:

• Activity: Beach Cleanup
• Date: 24 October 2020 (Saturday)
• Venue: Luak Esplanade, Miri
• Due date for registration: 14 October 2020 (Wednesday next week)

All participants will receive a T-shirt and certificate and will enjoy breakfast and a beach BBQ with the JCW 2020 team! Don’t miss this chance to do something good for the community and have some fun at the same time before the start of exams!
