Virtual Volunteering: Empowering Equalities
Greetings from AIESEC in Curtin University,
July 2021: About 179,450 refugees and asylum-seekers were registered with UNHCR in Malaysia and 45,750, 25% of the total population are at the age of 18.
Are you aware that these refugee children are not allowed to enroll in public schools and the refugee communities run their own community-based learning centers with no sustainable funds? Well if you don’t, then grab this chance to know more about the refugees and aid in their learnings of the society with Empowering Equalities.
The project focuses on SDG 10.2, Reduced Inequalities, to empower and promote the social, economic, and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic or another status.
Have a heart for the refugees and be a part of the cause. See below for the project details.
