Curtin Information Day for potential students interested to enrol this August

Miri – 24 July 2014 – Over 30 potential students and their parents attended the Curtin Information Day organised by Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) at Grand Palace Hotel here in Miri recently. The event was targetted at fifth formers interested to enrol in the university’s August intake.

The participants listened to talks on various aspects of Curtin Sarawak, including its foundation and environmental engineering programmes, as well as loans and scholarships available to students enrolled at the university. In addition, they underwent free course counselling and career tests. The event also saw Jasly Kong, a certified life coach, delivering a talk for the participants entitled ‘Finding Life’s Direction’.

Curtin Sarawak’s August (second semester) intake is in progress and students who are interested to enrol in its foundation or undergraduate programmes are encouraged to apply now. Class will commence on 4 August and 18 August for the undergraduate and foundation programmes respectively.

In addition to the established engineering, science, business and arts (mass communication) courses at Curtin Sarawak, the new Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) course will commence this August. The 4-year, full-time course is ideal for those who are interested to pursue a career in areas such as water treatment, solid waste management (including industrial and hazardous waste management), and domestic and industrial waste water treatment.
