Curtin Malaysia and Shin Yang co-host workshop on future workplaces and employee core skills

Miri – 15 April 2024 – Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) and Shin Yang Corporation recently co-hosted a dynamic workshop aimed at equipping students with vital skills for the evolving workplace landscape.

The event, held at Curtin University’s campus in Miri, saw an impressive turnout of over 120 participants eager to explore the essentials of career success in contemporary industries. The workshop served as a dynamic platform for insightful discussions, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the core competencies crucial for thriving in future professional environments.

Through engaging sessions and interactive forums with Shin Yang Corporation’s Senior Management Team, participants delved into topics ranging from communication prowess to adaptability and problem-solving acumen, ensuring a holistic approach to career readiness.

An engaging question-and-answer session followed, enabling participants to interact directly with members of the team, pose questions, and receive advice on navigating their career paths.

Yip Ka Yii, Associate Dean of External Engagement at Curtin Malaysia’s Faculty of Business and the event coordinator, expressed her enthusiasm regarding the collaborative effort, stating, “We are delighted to partner with Shin Yang Corporation in fostering the next generation of industry leaders.
