Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair 2025 opens doors to job seekers in Miri and beyond
Posted date:Miri, Sarawak – 30 August 2025 – The highly anticipated Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair returns on 11 and 12 September 2025, promising to be the biggest career event in Miri this year.
Taking place at Curtin University Malaysia’s Recreation and Event Centre from 10 am to 4 pm daily, the fair is not just for Curtin students and alumni. It is also open to students from other higher education institutions in Miri, working adults seeking new opportunities, and job seekers from nearby towns and cities.
Themed ‘Linking Aspirations with Industry Excellence,’ the Careers Fair is expected to draw even larger crowds than last year, when over 1,000 job seekers attended. With about 50 top employers on site, this year’s event will connect attendees directly with recruiters offering internships, management trainee programmes, and full-time and part-time roles.

Professor Vincent Lee, Pro Vice-Chancellor, President and Chief Executive of Curtin Malaysia, urges the Miri community to support the fair. “The Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair is not only about creating opportunities for our students and alumni, but also about empowering the wider community,” he said.
“By bringing together employers, students from across Miri, and working adults seeking change, we are strengthening the local workforce and supporting economic growth. I strongly encourage job seekers, whether fresh graduates or experienced professionals, to seize this chance to engage directly with leading employers and take the next step in their careers.”
The Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair will also feature career talks and sharing sessions with 10 participating companies. On 11 September, OCI TerraSus Sdn Bhd, CPA Australia, Imasa Dinasti Sdn Bhd, and Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd will take the stage starting at 1.30 pm. On 12 September, Noble Group, ND Paper Malaysia (Selangor) Sdn Bhd, Melexis (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Press Metal PV (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, Manulife Insurance Bhd, and PMG Healthcare Sdn Bhd will share insights beginning at 11 am.
To help participants prepare, Curtin Malaysia will host career workshops on 9 and 10 September at the Heron 1 building (John Curtin Building), covering resumé writing, interview techniques, and essential employability skills.
