Now in its twelfth year, the fair has earned a reputation as a dynamic platform for connecting ambitious job seekers with forward-thinking employers, attracting more than 1,000 participants annually.
Professor Vincent Lee, Pro Vice-Chancellor, President and Chief Executive of Curtin Malaysia, highlighted the far-reaching benefits of the fair, “The Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair is more than a recruitment event; it is a gateway to opportunity. We are proud to bring together a wide spectrum of industries under one roof, giving our students, alumni, and the wider community unparalleled access to potential employers and industry insights. This diversity ensures that no matter your area of interest or stage of career, there is something for everyone.”
He added that the fair is open to all job seekers, including Curtin Malaysia students at every stage of study, fresh graduates, alumni, and working adults considering career advancement or even a change of profession.
Professor Lee said that for Curtin Malaysia’s soon-to-graduate students and alumni, the fair offers a direct pathway to potential employers, on-the-spot interviews, and invaluable opportunities to secure their first or next career move. For working adults, it provides a chance to explore new career trajectories, connect with industry leaders, and gain insights that could propel their professional growth.
“And for our current students, even those in their first or second year, it opens a window into future possibilities and helps them make more informed choices about their career pathways,” he remarked.
Themed ‘Bridging Aspirations with Industry Excellence’, the two-day fair will feature on-the-spot interviews, career development workshops, resume clinics, industry-led panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to empower participants with both connections and knowledge.
Chin Li Yen, Manager of Careers and Alumni Relations at Curtin Malaysia, underscored the event’s significance, stating, “As industries evolve and new opportunities emerge, events like this ensure that our graduates are not only employable but industry-ready. The Careers Fair underscores Curtin Malaysia’s role in nurturing talent and contributing to the workforce of Sarawak, Malaysia, and beyond.”
Curtin Malaysia encourages students, graduates, alumni, and working professionals from across the region to seize this opportunity to advance their professional journeys.
