Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair 2025 to connect top talent with leading employers in the region
Posted date:Miri, Sarawak – 17 July 2025 – Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) is calling on industry leaders and employers across Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and beyond to participate in its highly anticipated Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair 2025, which will take place on 11 and 12 September 2025 at the university’s Recreation & Event Centre in Miri.
Now in its twelfth year, the annual Careers Fair has established itself as Northern Sarawak’s premier recruitment and talent development event, attracting over 50 employers and over 1,000 job seekers including Curtin Malaysia students and alumni, and graduates from other institutions in the region. The two-day event will run from 10 am to 4 pm and is expected to be a vibrant gathering of ambition, opportunity and industry engagement.
Held under the theme ‘Bridging Aspirations with Industry Excellence’, the fair aims to connect highly motivated graduates with forward-thinking employers, while also creating opportunities for meaningful industry-academia partnerships. Participating employers will not only be able to recruit for internships and full-time positions but also strengthen their brand visibility and build long-term relationships with future talent.
The event will feature a wide range of activities designed to benefit both employers and job seekers. These include on-the-spot interviews, career development workshops, resumé clinics, and industry-led panel discussions exploring current and emerging trends. Attendees will also be able to network with representatives from leading companies and explore potential collaborations in areas such as scholarship initiatives, consultancy projects, and workforce training programmes.
What makes the Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair particularly worthwhile for participating employers is the opportunity to engage with graduates from a university that has consistently ranked among the top choices of employers in Malaysia. Earlier this year, Curtin Malaysia was named a ‘2025 Employers’ Choice’ institution based on the Talentbank National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index), marking its third consecutive year of national recognition for graduate employability. This accolade reaffirms Curtin Malaysia’s reputation as a premier higher education institution that produces graduates who are not only academically strong but also industry-ready, adaptable, and equipped with the skills that employers value most.
Chin Li Yen, Manager of Careers and Alumni Relations at Curtin Malaysia, described the Curtin Malaysia Careers Fair as a mutually beneficial platform where companies gain direct access to job-ready graduates while playing an active role in Sarawak’s workforce development. “This is more than recruitment,” she said. “It is where career aspirations meet real opportunities, and where industry can shape the future by investing in talent today.”
Professor Vincent Lee, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Curtin Malaysia, underscored the strategic significance of the event. “Our Careers Fair has, over the past decade, become a cornerstone of regional talent development,” he said. “It brings industry and academia together to empower young professionals, promote innovation, and contribute to Sarawak’s long-term growth.”
Employers from a wide range of sectors, including engineering, digital technology, energy, finance, public service, hospitality and the creative industries, are encouraged to take part in this high-impact event. Registrations must be completed by 16 August 2025 to ensure participation and inclusion in the official programme.
Curtin Malaysia invites all employers to join in this unique opportunity to connect with tomorrow’s workforce, strengthen recruitment pipelines, and help shape a more skilled and dynamic Sarawak.
