Curtin Malaysia honours top business students with prestigious Book Prize Awards

Miri, Sarawak – 29 April 2026 – Academic excellence took centre stage at Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) as its Faculty of Business recognised its high-achieving students at the recent Book Prize Awards and Dean’s List Presentation ceremony at the university.

The ceremony celebrated students from the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business Administration programmes who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, discipline, and commitment throughout their studies. The event highlighted not only scholastic achievement but also the growing synergy between academia and industry.

This year’s awards were made possible through the strong support of key industry partners, including Crowe Malaysia PLT, Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shin Yang Corporate Services, SOP Foundation, MICPA x CA ANZ, ACCA, and the Institute of Marketing Malaysia. Their continued collaboration with Curtin Malaysia underscores a shared commitment to nurturing future-ready graduates equipped for the evolving business landscape.

Professor Tuong-Thuy Vu, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, representing Professor Vincent Lee, Pro Vice-Chancellor, President and Chief Executive of Curtin Malaysia, congratulated the award recipients and Dean’s List students. He noted that their achievements reflect not only academic excellence but also discipline, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement—qualities that will serve them well beyond the classroom.

He also acknowledged the industry partners for their continuous support in recognising and nurturing talent. “By partnering with Curtin Malaysia, you are investing in the future workforce and strengthening the bridge between academia and industry,” he remarked.

Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Pauline Ho, described the occasion as more than a recognition ceremony. “The Book Prize Awards and Dean’s List Presentation represent a celebration of perseverance, intellectual curiosity, and the pursuit of excellence. Our students’ achievements reflect both their dedication and the faculty’s commitment to developing capable, industry-relevant graduates,” she said.

She also encouraged students to maintain their momentum and strive to make meaningful contributions to society and the global business community.

The Faculty of Business extended its congratulations to all award recipients and Dean’s List honourees, noting that their accomplishments set a strong benchmark for their peers and reinforce Curtin Malaysia’s reputation for academic excellence.
