Curtin Malaysia Library now accessible to students preparing for SPM

Miri – 9 February 2024 – The Library at Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) is opening its doors to 2023 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates in Miri from February 5 to March 7, offering them a conducive learning environment with up-to-date library services and resources to prepare for their upcoming examination.

This initiative is in its second year, following a very positive response last year, where over 150 students, mainly from Senadin, Lutong, Pujut, Merbau, Taman Tunku, Permyjaya, and other nearby areas, used the library facilities for their revision.

The Library is available to the students from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and library staff will be on hand should they need any assistance with the use of the facilities.

The multi-storey Library at Curtin Malaysia is modern, spacious and equipped with the latest technologies, including high-speed Internet, in addition to its extensive collection of printed and electronic books, journals and magazines. It has a range of learning spaces for students to study individually or in groups, including computer labs, an audio-visual room and quiet study spaces, as well as printing, scanning and photocopying services.

This is an initiative by Curtin Malaysia’s Library and Learning Commons and Domestic Student Recruitment departments as part of the university’s ongoing community engagement initiatives.
