In his keynote address, Dr. George Chan highlighted Curtin’s diploma pathways as a vital platform for developing industry-relevant skills, globally recognised qualifications and clear progression to undergraduate studies. He encouraged the graduates to either enter the workforce with confidence or continue their academic journey, noting that a Curtin diploma is “a mark of readiness, a signal of potential, and a gateway to greater achievements.”

He urged the graduates to apply their problem-solving, communication and critical-thinking skills with courage and resilience, adding that their adaptability and creative mindset would enable them to thrive in an ever-changing world. “Your diploma is a stepping stone, not a finish line,” he said.

Professor Vincent Lee reminded graduates that they were completing their studies at a university ranked among the top one per cent globally and the highest-ranked university in Borneo. He expressed confidence that the graduates would use their education to make meaningful contributions to the communities and industries they serve, carrying forward Curtin’s spirit of innovation, curiosity and global citizenship.
