Curtin Malaysia recognised as a ‘2025 Employers’ Choice’ by top employers

Miri, Sarawak – 21 March 2025 Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) has once again earned national recognition for its outstanding graduate employability, securing a coveted spot among the ‘2025 Employers’ Choice’ institutions, based on the Talentbank National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index). This marks the third consecutive year Curtin Malaysia has received this honour, reaffirming its reputation as a premier institution producing highly employable graduates.

This prestigious accolade underscores Curtin Malaysia’s commitment to shaping industry-ready professionals, equipping students with the skills and knowledge demanded by leading employers. The university’s employability ratings will be prominently featured on Talentbank’s official website (https://www.talentbankgroup.com/eca) and across major media platforms, spotlighting Curtin Malaysia’s continued success in preparing graduates for the workforce.

The Talentbank survey, conducted among top employers such as Maybank, CelcomDigi, CIMB, Nestlé, Hartalega, PwC Malaysia, PETRONAS, Public Bank, Sunway, and Standard Chartered Bank, identified Curtin Malaysia as a preferred institution for recruiting job-ready talent. This recognition highlights the university’s strong industry connections and dedication to ensuring graduates excel in today’s competitive job market.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition, which reflects our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and graduate success,” said Professor Vincent Lee, Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor, President, and Chief Executive of Curtin Malaysia. “At Curtin Malaysia, we bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing hands-on learning experiences, industry exposure, and a curriculum tailored to market demands.”

Curtin Malaysia particularly excelled in two key subject areas – Chemical Engineering and Occupational Safety & Health – further demonstrating its expertise in producing top-tier graduates in these fields.

Launched in 2023 and conceptualised in 2020, the National Graduate Employability Index serves as a benchmark for assessing the employability of graduates in Malaysia, helping students make informed decisions about universities that offer strong career prospects.

Being recognised as an ‘Employers’ Choice’ university brings numerous advantages, including enhanced reputation, increased employer engagement, higher student enrolment, stronger alumni networks, and expanded industry collaborations for curriculum development and job placements.

This latest achievement solidifies Curtin Malaysia’s standing as a top choice for students seeking a high-quality, career-focused education. As the university continues to nurture future-ready graduates, it remains dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and industry partnerships.
