Curtin Malaysia to showcase faculties and courses at Future Students Day events

Miri – 28 June 2022 – With the recent release of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results, Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) is inviting school leavers to attend its Future Students Day 2022 events in Miri this weekend to find out more about further studies at the campus, Curtin University’s largest global campus. Those interested to know more about diploma, professional advancement and postgraduate courses are also encouraged to attend.

On 2 July (Saturday), it will be held on-campus in the foyer of the Harry Perkins Lecture Theatre from 10 am to 5 pm. On 3 July, it will be held from 11 am to 4 pm in the conference hall of the Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) in the city centre.

Both events will feature showcases of Curtin Malaysia’s faculties of engineering and science, business, and humanities and health sciences, as well as its School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPACE) and the Curtin Malaysia Graduate School (CMGS).

Officers from its student recruitment department will also be on hand to provide course counselling, conduct campus tours, and facilitate on-the-spot applications. Lecturers from the faculties, meanwhile, will be available to give insights into the courses and teaching they deliver, and student ambassadors will give insights into student life.

There will also be special sessions by SPACE on new diploma courses in Commerce, Information Technology and Media Studies being offered in October, between 11 am and 12 noon on 2 July, and between 1 pm and 2 pm on 3 July.

Curtin Malaysia’s mid-year foundation and degree intakes, set to commence on 12 and 25 July respectively, are now open for applications.

In addition to courses, interested students can also find out more about scholarships and student loans available, including the BP40 Bursary Scheme and scholarships offered by the Sarawak Foundation (Yayasan Sarawak) for Sarawakian students.
