Curtin Sarawak gives a warm welcome to Higher Education Minister

MIRI, 11 February 2007 – The Minister of Higher Education, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Mustapha Bin Mohamed, was given a warm welcome by the staff and students of Curtin University of Technology Miri, Sarawak (Curtin Sarawak) during his visit on the campus for the first time.

“We are very honoured to have the Minister of Higher Education here today,” states Professor John Evans, Pro Vice–Chancellor of Curtin Sarawak.

“It is a great pleasure to share with Yang Berhormat what Curtin Sarawak has done so far as a tertiary education provider and its contribution to the community and country”.

Also present to give a speech was Yang Berhormat Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, Chairman of Curtin Sarawak Council who shared his views on the development of Curtin Sarawak with the Minister.

After the presentation of Curtin Sarawak’s corporate video, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Mustapha Bin Mohamed gave a speech followed by a presentation of souvenir presented by Professor John Evans in appreciation of the Minister’s presence.
