School leavers in Sabah and Labuan invited to meet Curtin Sarawak representatives
Posted date:Miri – 6 January 2015 – SPM, STPM and UEC school leavers in Sabah and Labuan interested to pursue higher education at Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak), the largest international campus of Western Australia’s Curtin University, are invited to meet representatives of the campus to find out more this January.
On 11 January (Sunday), the representatives will be on hand to counsel potential students and their parents on financial aid offered by the university and other study loan and scholarship providers (PTPTN Sabah, Yayasan Sabah, JPA Sabah, and Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera) during Curtin Sarawak’s ‘Financial Aid Day’ from 1 pm to 5 pm at Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu.
Meanwhile, ‘Curtin Application Day’ events will be held in various locations in Sabah throughout the month – at Juta Hotel, Keningau on 12 January (Monday); Promenade Hotel, Tawau on 29 January (Thursday); and Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan Hotel, Sandakan on 30 January (Friday). A similar event will also be held at Grand Dorsett Hotel, Labuan on 17 January (Saturday). All the events will be from 12 noon to 4 pm.
School leavers attending the events are advised to bring along their forecast results for assessment and application purposes.
Curtin Sarawak’s March (first semester) intake is currently in progress and students can apply for its foundation or undergraduate programmes. Classes will commence on 2 March and 30 March 2015 for the undergraduate and foundation programmes respectively.
