Curtin Sarawak hosting Engineering Conference

MIRI – Curtin Sarawak is hosting an Engineering conference, jointly with the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), Miri Branch. The conference will involve engineering professionals, current students and members of the public.

The inaugural two–day Curtin University of Technology Sarawak Engineering (CUTSE) Conference 2006 will be held at Curtin Sarawak Campus from the 27^th to the 28^th November.

The conference theme is “CurtinResearch”. The conference has several aims, namely to present its graduates to stakeholders from industry and the wider community, to showcase its diverse range of research activities and to be a platform for established engineers to share their expertise and experience.

Participants will be awarded on the latest developments and research in all fields and levels of engineering.

This conference offers the opportunity to earn Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points, essential for professional engineers to retain their professional membership and status.

The Keynote Speakers invited for this conference includes the distinguished Ir . Professor Chung Kwok-Fai, from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the esteemed Ir. Wee Yiaw Hin, Managing Director of Sarawak Shell Berhad.
