Curtin University of Technology Inaugural Alumni Dinner 2007

MIRI, Monday, 7 May 2007 – The first Curtin University of Technology Alumni Dinner will be held on 12 May 2007 in Eastwood Valley Golf Resort at 7.15pm.

All Curtin graduates are automatically a part of the Curtin Alumni network without fee and for life. Currently, there are 119,000 Curtin Alumni worldwide and each year, Curtin welcomes over 6,000 new graduates to this global network.

“Your relationship with Curtin does not end with graduation. This milestone event is simply a transition in to a lifelong partnership with the University and the fellow graduates,” said Professor John Evans, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin Sarawak.

“Curtin Alumni Relations works to keep the Alumni network strong and enhance the reputation of the Curtin University of Technology graduates,” he added further.

There are many benefits of being part of the Curtin Alumni. To name a few:

1. The Alumni aims to provide opportunities for social and career networking, foster lifelong partnerships between the graduates, friends of the University and to provide the graduates with library membership,”

2. Family of Alumni are also able to apply for the Alumni Scholarship.

3. Many Alumni are mentors and often the International graduates act as ambassadors for the University.

This event is the first of many activities and events for all Curtin Alumni members to meet and build a network of friends or to meet old friends that they might not have seen after their graduation.
