ESG Dialogue Series workshop on ‘Sustainable Financing and Biodiversity’ at Curtin Malaysia on 10 March

Miri – 8 March 2023 – ESG Malaysia, Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia), and Climate & Company are jointly hosting an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Dialogue Series workshop on the topic ‘Sustainable Financing and Biodiversity: Exploring the Intersection between the EU and Sarawak’.

It will be held in hybrid mode on 10 March 2023, from 4 pm to 6 pm (GMT +8), meaning that participants will have a choice of attending in person at The Auditorium at Curtin Malaysia or online via Cisco Webex.

The keynote speaker will be Liyana Nayan, an analyst from Climate & Company, while the panelists will comprise Chua Huey Sian, Head of Sustainable Finance at CIMB, and Dr. Keeren Sundaran Rajoo, a senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Moderating the dialogue will be Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Fazi, lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Curtin Malaysia’s Faculty of Business.

Sarawak Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr. Hazland bin Abang Hipni, is also expected to attend.

The event is being supported by Curtin University, CIMB, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus, and Sarawak’s Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability.

Those interested to join can register at shorturl.at/bceKW. Attendance is free of charge for staff and students at all the Curtin campuses in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius, while a nominal fee of RM25 will be charged for working professionals and RM5 for non-Curtin students.
