Potential students and public invited to Curtin Malaysia Open Day from 6 – 8 July

Miri – 14 June 2023 – Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) is inviting all potential students, especially SPM leavers, parents and members of the public to attend its three-day Curtin Malaysia Open Day at its campus from 6 to 8 July 2023.

The Curtin Malaysia Open Day, which is being held in conjunction with the state-level STEM Trailblazers Sarawak and Raspberry Pi Innovation Challenge 2023 at its campus this year, is an opportunity for potential students and members of the public to explore what Curtin Malaysia has to offer, including its wide range of courses at pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, scholarship opportunities, and vibrant student life.

Visitors will also have a chance to talk to academic staff, student recruiters and current students, and experience its modern campus facilities.

The event will feature a Future Students Hub where students and parents can get the information they need to make informed decisions about enrolment, as well as showcases of Curtin Malaysia’s faculties and student clubs, in addition to the university’s industry partners. Visitors will also get to participate in interactive activities promoting student life and join guided tours of the campus throughout the three days.

As the event is being held concurrently with two other major events at the campus, the STEM Trailblazers Sarawak and Raspberry Pi Innovation Challenge organised by the Sarawak Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) in partnership with Curtin Malaysia, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, and University technology Sarawak (UTS), visitors will have the opportunity to visit exciting showcases at those events as well.

In addition, visitors can visit over 15 booths operated by Curtin Malaysia students, staff, industry partners, and external vendors where they can purchase food and beverages, handicrafts and retail goods, find out about various financial services, get free health checks, and enjoy live entertainment.

The Curtin Open Day will be open from 10 am to 3 pm on 6 and 7 June, and from 10 am to 4 pm on 8 June. The opening hours for the STEM Trailblazers Sarawak and Raspberry Pi Challenge, meanwhile, will be 8 am to 5 pm on all three days. All three events will be centred around the campus’ Recreation & Event Centre and Faculty of Business buildings.

Enquiries about the events can be made to Curtin Malaysia’s Marketing & Communications Department at 085-630100 ext. 2599 or by email to marcomm@curtin.edu.my.
