Curtin campus community work out in conjunction with national sports month

Miri – 20 October 2019 – The Sports & Recreation Department of Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) recently collaborated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) Miri to host a ‘Let’s Get Fit 2019’ fitness workout for staff and students of the campus in conjunction with the Ministry’s Bulan Sukan Negara programme.

The programme was launched across the country to encourage Malaysians to participate in a wide range of fitness activities and create a fit and active society, as well as raise awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles.

The one-hour event, which was held at the Curtin Malaysia’s Recreation & Event Centre and featured a kickboxing workout by fitness instructors from Northern Mockingjay Fitness Club, saw the participation of over 40 staff and students.

Similar events have been held at various locations in Miri throughout the month as part of the Miri Division Level Bulan Sukan Negara programme.
