Curtin Malaysia Internship and Placement Fair 2019 to connect job-seekers with employers

Miri – 20 September 2019 – Students and graduates of Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia), as well as students from other institutions and working adults looking to advance their careers, will get to meet representatives of 25 companies seeking to connect with job-seekers at the annual Curtin Malaysia Internship & Placement Fair 2019 to be held at its campus here on 25 and 26 September 2019.

They will be able to find out more about the companies, many of which are leading names in regional commerce and industry, and the career opportunities they offer, including internships, management programmes and both part-time and full-time job placements.

Some of the employers will conduct on-the-spot job interviews, so those attending are advised to bring along their resumés, transcripts and other relevant documents to ease the interview process.

Formerly known as the Curtin Malaysia Career Fair, the fair is being organised by the Career & Alumni Services section of Curtin Malaysia’s Department of University Life. It will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on both days in the university’s Recreation & Event Centre (Heron 3) and admission is free.

Bhd., Ernst & Young Global Ltd., GTI Media Sdn. Bhd., Infinity Abroad Sdn. Bhd., Inter Island Manpower Pte. Ltd., KPMG Malaysia, LONGi Sdn. Bhd., MABECS Sdn. Bhd., Maybank Bhd. and MCT Bhd.

Ltd, SUTRA Jurutera Perunding, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and TURCOMP Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd.

The Curtin Malaysia Internship & Placement Fair is one of the biggest and much-anticipated events in Curtin Malaysia’s yearly calendar of events, drawing anywhere from 20 to over 40 companies from both East and West Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei each year. Over 900 job-seekers attended last year’s event and it is hoped more will attend this year.

For job-seekers, it is a great opportunity to engage with a large assemblage of potential employers in one place, or simply to find out more about employment in various industries. Meanwhile, for the participating companies, it is an opportunity to promote their companies to a wider market, in addition to attracting potential employees from Miri and other locations.
