Public invited to attend Community Aspiration Programme at Curtin Sarawak

Miri – 18 October 2013 – The public is invited to attend the Community Aspiration Programme hosted by Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) on 21 October 2013 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm at The Auditorium, Chancellery Building, at the university.

The programme is being organised in collaboration with The Division of Policy Planning, Research and Coordination, Higher Education Sector of the Ministry of Education. Briefings on the programme are taking place at selected institutions of higher learning all around Malaysia from 20 to 29 October 2013.

The programme is part of a series of ‘public engagement’ programmes organised nationwide to gather community feedback and input on the ‘Review of Higher Education Strategic Plan’ study. The study aims to improve current and introduce new, high impact initiatives that can be implemented to enable our higher education system to be upgraded to a better standard.

Two speakers will moderate the programme which covers sessions on briefing of the ‘Review of Higher Education Strategic Plan’ as well as open forum.

Members of the public are invited to attend the event. 200 representatives from various state agencies and associations, schools and higher learning institutions in Miri are expected to participate.
