Curtin Sarawak Foundation programmes intake in progress
Posted date:Miri – 24 February 2016 – School leavers keen to pursue their studies at foundation level at Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) can still apply for its March intake before the commencement of classes on 28 March 2016.
Curtin Sarawak, the largest branch campus of Curtin University, offers a quality Australian education closer to home at affordable Malaysian fees. It offers Curtin degree courses identical to those at Curtin University in Australia and the Foundation programmes at Curtin Sarawak feed directly into the degree programmes.
Furthermore, degrees earned at Curtin Sarawak are awarded directly by the main campus or students can opt to transfer to the main campus to complete their degrees at any time during their undergraduate studies.
To find out more about the current intake and studies at Curtin Sarawak, potential students and their parents are welcome to visit its campus for walk-in enquiries between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Mondays to Fridays, or from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on Saturdays. They are advised to bring along their examination results for assessment and on-the-spot applications.
Curtin Sarawak is also holding ‘Application Day’ events at the Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) every Saturday from 27 February to 26 March, from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon for this purpose.

The Foundation programmes at Curtin Sarawak are designed for school leavers to gain the essential skills and knowledge for a smooth transition to tertiary study, providing the best possible fundamentals to undertake a Bachelor’s degree.
They comprise one-year (2-semester) courses in Commerce and Arts under its Faculty of Business and Humanities and in Engineering and Science under its Faculty of Engineering and Science. Both programmes are recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
Students who pass all units in Foundation Studies: Commerce and Arts can enter the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce (with both single and double majors) and Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication) programmes.
Meanwhile, the Foundation Studies: Engineering and Science programme prepares students for undergraduate study in the Bachelor of Engineering (with Honours), Bachelor of Technology (Computer Systems & Networking); and Bachelor of Science (Applied Geology) programmes. They also qualify to enrol in the Bachelor of Business Administration; Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts programmes.
