Lau also spoke about the importance of selecting a reputable university for further studies, particularly one with professionally-accredited courses and a good reputation in the global rankings of universities, as this could be crucial when seeking employment in the future.
Hasham, in his briefing for the visitors, also touched on the significance of the world university rankings, including Curtin University’s most recent achievement in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2017, in which it has been placed in the top 200 or top one percent of universities worldwide.
