Public invited to scholarship presentation by Australian High Commission at Curtin Malaysia

Miri – 16 May 2017 – Members of the public in Miri are invited to attend a ‘Australia Awards: Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships 2018’ presentation by the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur at the campus of Curtin University, Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) on 25 May 2017.

Karen Welsh, Counsellor for Education at the high commission, will deliver the talk from 12.00 noon onwards in the Council Room of the campus, which is located on the first floor of Heron 1 or John Curtin Building.

Members of the public can avail themselves of opportunities available to Malaysians or other qualified nationals to undertake further study in Australia at various levels including postgraduate and post-doctoral (Master’s, PhD or research fellowships); vocational and technical education; or executive fellowships.

Funded by the Australian Government, the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are internationally competitive merit-based scholarships that allow recipients to enhance their skills and expand their global awareness.

Under the programme, recipients will receive travel and establishment allowances, monthly stipends, health insurance for the full category duration, travel insurance, payment of tuition fees up to the maximum study/research duration on a pro-rata basis, as well as student service and amenities fees.

Applications for the 2018 Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are now open and can be submitted online at www.internationaleducation.gov.au. The deadline for applications is 30 June 2017 at 11.59 pm (Australian Eastern Standard time).
