Curtin China Student Association raise RM 10,000 for Sichuan Earthquake Victims

Curtin China Student Association (CCSA) successfully raise over RM10, 000 for Sichuan earthquake victims in China in just three days!

The three-day fundraising is supported by the Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Malaysia’s Department of University Life.

The fund will be channelled to the Chinese Consulate General in Kuching to be channelled to the relevant not-for-profit organisations.

The Curtin community of staff and students has generously forwarded to the fund. “It is the first time we organise such an initiative. On behalf of CCSA, I’d like to express our greatest appreciation to all donors for their kind support. We will ensure that the fund is channelled for the right purpose,” exclaims CCSA President, Zhou Chen.

Haslina Malek, Manager of University Life added, “This fund-raising idea was the students’ initiative. We only assisted in facilitating as advisors.  We are extremely proud of these students and we applaud their pro-activeness and their sense of community service.
