Curtin Sarawak Business School collaborates with Curtin Bentley

Curtin University Sarawak invited Professor Dr. Ross Taplin of Curtin Bentley Business School to conduct a workshop of building research capabilities as well as enhancing research quality among all academic staffs of Curtin Sarawak Business School.

According to Shamsul Kamariah, Director of Business School, “There is a need to equip all staffs in quantitative research skills with an effort to encourage cross or inter-discipline research clusters in all business areas to explore the possibility of further research collaboration with mother campus.”

Given Prof. Dr. Ross Taplin’s extensive experience and professional qualifications in statistical skills, Curtin Sarawak Business School is confident that a strategic research network could be achieved between Curtin Sarawak with Curtin Bentley Business School.

Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Evans also mentions that more than eighty percent of all School of Business are actively engaged in research publications and producing high quality research papers in building up the research profile in the School as well as establishing industrial link with local companies in Miri and Malaysia. At the same time, external funding for the School are also sorted to establish concrete collaboration with other professional associations to promote national and international networking.

 With extensive collaboration with mother campus, Curtin Bentley Australia, the Curtin Business School is in no doubt to provide research initiatives which may contribute to external society as a whole in exploring new ideas and developing strategic partnership within the community.
